The Carolina Panthers finished the regular season with an 11-5 record after an ugly loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Thanks to that loss the Panthers finished second in the NFC South and clinched the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs. As the No. 5 seed, the Panthers earned a road game in the Wild Card round against the New Orleans Saints.
