Great Scott! Look who could be starting at center for Panthers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One reason the Carolina Panthers stuck with Chris Scott during a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy was his ability to play every position on the offensive line.

That could pay off.

Scott practiced Wednesday and Thursday as the starting center with Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil (shoulder) and backup Gino Gradkowski (knee) working on the side. If those two can’t play on Sunday against Kansas City, the sixth-year player out of Tennessee will be snapping to NFL MVP Cam Newton.
