Former Panthers tight end Greg Olsen’s son potentially needs a new heart

The eight-year-old son of Former Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen could be in need of a heart transplant.

Olson, now an NFL analyst for Fox Sports, published a tweet about his son TJ’s struggle with a congenital heart defect. TJ previously underwent three open heart procedures and also had a pacemaker installed.

Unfortunately, it seems his heart is reaching its end. We are currently working through the process to determine our next steps, which ultimately could lead to a heart transplant

The gut-wrenching news is not a surprise to Panthers fans who have followed along with TJ’s struggle.
