Former Duke safety Jeremy Cash secures spot with Panthers

Charlotte, N.C. — Four months after transitioning from collegiate safety to NFL linebacker, former Duke standout Jeremy Cash has completed his mission – securing a spot on the Carolina Panthers’ 53-man roster.

Twenty-two players were cut from Carolina’s roster Saturday afternoon, but Cash announced earlier in the day that he was safe.

Cash went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, but Carolina signed the former Blue Devil only hours after the final round.

Excited to officially announce that I've signed a contract with the @Panthers. Ready to contribute to the efforts of heading to Houston!
