Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers dropped their season finale Sunday afternoon, falling to the rival Falcons, 22-10, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
With the loss, Carolina will enter the NFC playoffs as the No. 5 seed and will travel to New Orleans to face the No. 4 seeded Saints next Sunday for the teams’ third matchup this season.
Atlanta’s victory clinches a berth for the Falcons as the No. 6 seed, the final wild card spot in the playoffs. The Falcons will travel to Los Angeles for a west coast tilt with the No. 3 seeded Rams.
