Fashion update: Panthers to wear black jerseys for Super Bowl 50

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Here’s a Super Bowl 50 fashion story that has nothing to do with quarterback Cam Newton's postgame attire.

The Carolina Panthers, who made it to Super Bowl wearing all white, will wear black jerseys when they face the Denver Broncos for the Lombardi Trophy.

The Broncos, as the designated home team, announced they will be wearing all white uniforms on Feb. 7.

Carolina is 0-2 in the playoffs in black jerseys, 9-4 in white. But one of those losses in all white was the Super Bowl following the 2003 season.
