Devin Funchess Must Avoid the Sophomore Slump

As the story about a career of a professional athlete goes, the second year produces what is known as the “sophomore slump.” A lack of production from an individual coming off of their first season.

For Devin Funchess, that slump simply can not happen.

Throughout the course of the 2015 season, Panthers fans sat by idle and watched as their second round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft attempted to put it all together. For every up in Funchess’ rookie season, there was four times the amount of downs.

In week seven, Funchess had three catches on four targets for 71 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers.
