The 2020 NFL draft was the first time in franchise history that the Carolina Panthers drafted a defensive player with every pick. That bold move is already earning some early recognition with two players, defensive tackle Derrick Brown and safety/linebacker Jeremy Chinn, being honored with selections to the Pro Football Writer’s Association All-Rookie team. Chinn, who earned some buzz through the middle of the season, lost out on the Defensive Rookie of the Year award to defensive end Chase Young of the Washington Football Team.
