Derek Anderson more prepared for prime time since his 2010 post-game tirade

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers backup quarterback Derek Anderson smiled when asked if he’d ever started in a Monday night game.

“I had one in Arizona," said Anderson, who will start on Monday night against Tampa Bay if NFL MVP Cam Newton isn’t cleared from the concussion protocol. “It wasn’t the best."

No, it wasn’t.

Anderson went into a profanity-laced tirade during his post-game press conference when asked why he was laughing on the sideline late in a 27-6 loss to San Francisco that extended the Cardinals’ losing streak to six straight.
