Thomas Davis has been suspended for the first four games of 2018 but he’ll be keeping up with the team’s performance during the absence. After failing a random drug screening, the Carolina Panthers veteran linebacker was issued the suspension from the NFL league office.
A substance within one of the supplements Davis had been taking for years had been recently deemed illegal, causing the long-time Panthers captain to test positive. Missing any time could be detrimental but Carolina will be without Davis during a favorable portion of the schedule.
Only one divisional game, a road trip to Atlanta, will be missed in addition to home games against Dallas, Cincinnati and the New York Giants.
