Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is expected to meet with Major League Soccer (MLS) sometime in mid-July to make his pitch for Charlotte expansion team (get it? That’s a soccer pun).
According to the report on Pro Football talk, groups from Sacramento and St. Louis will be meeting with MLS during the week of July 15, so we’ll assume the David Tepper and co. will hold their meeting around that time.
David Tepper has spoken about bringing the MLS to Charlotte for a long time now. I think he even brought it up in his first press conference after being named the new owner of the Panthers.
