Chris Hogan ready for ‘new chapter’ with Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers officially moved on from former general manager Dave Gettleman and his love for big bodied wide receivers. After trading away former first-round pick Kelvin Benjamin, allowing Devin Funchess an opportunity in the spotlight, the team enters 2019 without either. Making replacements through the draft and by signing Chris Hogan, a revamped group fills the current roster.

Funchess left this offseason, signing with the Indianapolis Colts, and new general manager Marty Hurney continues reconstructing the receiving corps. D.J. Moore was added last year signaling a shift from big targets to guys who run clean routes and make plays after the catch – a trend that continues.
