CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has an impressive coaching tree, with 10 assistants who went on to become NFL head coaches, but he regrettably let one get away despite advice from one of his sons: first-year Carolina Panthers coach Matt Rhule.
“Which was a dumb thing," Reid said this week as he prepared to face Rhule’s 3-5 team on Sunday. “I should have found a spot. The next thing I know, he’s with the Giants. I was, ‘My god, that was not where I wanted him to go.'"
