One of the biggest upsides to take from last night’s win against the Chicago Bears is Terry Godwin’s performance on special teams. Godwin is a seventh-round pick who was likely drafted to add depth to the Carolina Panthers’ wide receiver corps this year. However, he has seemingly found a niche in special teams.
Following a 10-6 deficit at halftime, the Panthers were in need of a big play that would change the game. In the beginning of the second half, Godwin gave the team the spark it needed with his flashing speed.
