The Panthers defeated the Titans 26-16 for their first preseason victory. Both the offense and defense looked improved from a week ago, especially after the first team had been replaced. Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota targeted one of the new faces in the secondary and completed six passes for 68-yards against the rookie, Daryl Worley.

Fortunately, the rookie took responsibility for his game play and is looking to improve as the preseason progresses. “I was very unimpressed with the way I played,” Worley said. “I was playing a little bit not as aggressive as I’m used to because of some of the calls and not being able to challenge balls and routes the way I would’ve liked.
