The Carolina Panthers lost their first game in four weeks against a formidable Bears team, who currently occupy first place in the NFC North.
Carolina’s offense struggled the entire game as it took the Panthers until the fourth quarter to score their first touchdown. Lacking much of an identity in their bid to move the chains and with no player stepping up to lead the team back into the ball game, they never really got going.
On the defensive side, the Panthers held up for the most part but were put in difficult positions as the first score they gave up came after an interception, which resulted in the Bears offense getting the ball at the seven-yard line.
