Carolina Panthers sign running back Kenjon Barner to one-year contract

Ian Rapoport reported that the Panthers have signed the former Eagle and 6th round Panthers draft pick. Barner couldn’t catch on in his first go around with Carolina, and ended up playing for the Eagles two years after leaving the Panthers. Barner played sparingly and was mainly a kick returner for Philadelphia, but he was a part of the 2017 Super Bowl squad.

The Panthers were apparently looking for another running back even before the injury to Fozzy Whittaker sidelined him for the rest of the season yesterday. Now they have a player with a similar skill set.
