The Panthers added Hawkins to their practice squad after he was waived by the Packers following the preseason.
Hawkins, a 5-foot-10, 189-pounder from Winston-Salem, N.C., went undrafted in 2016 but spent his rookie year and the 2017 season on the Packers’ 53-man roster.
