Last Sunday the already banged up offensive line of the Carolina Panthers suffered another significant injury. The good news is that the front office has been working nonstop to ensure that there is an appropriate amount of depth at offensive tackle.
Earlier Wednesday morning the Carolina Panthers placed right tackle Daryl Williams on injured reserve and signed offensive tackle Chris Clark, formerly of the Texans and Broncos. Williams will undergo surgery to repair his knee and therefore, must miss eight games before he is eligible to return. The Panthers remain hopeful that he can return during the latter part of the season.
