It was reported a couple weeks ago that Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey would announce the team’s second round draft pick. There has been a change of plans. Instead, former Panthers linebacker Jon Beason will now be the individual tasked with announcing the pick in what should be a very productive and impactful couple of days.
Beason of course was selected highly in the 2007 NFL Draft. Selected with the 25th overall pick, Beason would go on to have a tremendous career with the Panthers. Three straight Pro bowls, First Team All-Pro honors in 2008 and Second Team All-Pro honors 2009 are just some of the things he did in a tremendous career.
