Carolina Panthers: Day 2 prospects to watch at the NFL Combine

Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney is preparing for his thirteenth NFL Draft and there’s no shortage of needs. The roster has been aging of late and with both defensive end Julius Peppers and center Ryan Kalil already announcing their retirement, a concerted effort is being made to inject some youth into the lineup.

The problem is parting ways with proven players like linebacker Thomas Davis is no easy task, but ultimately it was decided the veteran captain would not be re-signed. Other aging candidates who won’t be back next season include safety Mike Adams and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn, creating even more openings.
