Carolina Panthers cut Kevon Seymour and Elijah Holyfield; roster now at 53 players

The Carolina Panthers have completed their 53-man roster by cutting cornerback Kevon Seymour and running back Elijah Holyfield to make room for two more players they claimed on waivers earlier this afternoon. This follows their decision reported earlier to cut wide receiver Torrey Smith, who was owed a non-guaranteed $3 million salary in 2019.

Per team, Elijah Holyfield and Kevon Seymour were also cut this morning, along with Torrey Smith.

These moves were made to allow their three waiver claims — defensive back Natrell Jamerson and wide receivers Brandon Zylstra and Ray-Ray McCloud — to be added to the 53-man roster.
