Carolina Panthers fans, we have an update in regards to the status of quarterback Cam Newton. Before I make you all nervous, let me assure you that this update is a good one. According to a report from Jordan Rodrigue of the Charlotte Observer, Newton has begun throwing a regulation-sized football. This is certainly a step in the right direction.
As Rodrigue notes, he has not thrown the ball overhand during workouts available to the media this spring. When he had his first surgery in 2017, he was not allowed to throw the ball overhand until the end of the Carolina Panthers training camp.
