Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Norv Turner opened up the playbook last week orchestrating touchdown drives on five consecutive possessions for a franchise record 35 points in a single half of football. Although the Panthers only managed a single score in the second-half, it was enough for a 42-28 victory.
Faced with a short week and trip to Pittsburgh, there are a number of outside factors for Carolina to overcome if they want to extend their current win streak. The Panthers are just 1-5 against the Steelers in regular season play and have a losing record (3-4) when playing on Thursday night under coach Ron Rivera.
