Just when it looked as if the Carolina Panthers might get a much-needed reprieve from their current salary cap predicament. The current climate has made things far less clear going forward.

Due to the substantial decrease in revenue expected in 2020. The NFL and NFLPA came to an arrangement that would drastically change the Carolina Panthers’ ability to become prominent players in the free-agent market next spring. Next year’s cap could be as low as $175 million, which has the potential to cause chaos across the league.

According to Over the Cap, the Panthers were due to have around $40 million at their disposal.
