SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has added writing headlines to his already versatile repertoire.
After throwing consecutive deep touchdown passes late in Wednesday's practice, the NFL MVP walked over to the side where reporters were standing and shouted out, "Cam Newton comes back strong."
Newton also playfully referred to some completions coming against rookie cornerbacks that reporters noted earlier in the week had interceptions against him.
The first was to Ted Ginn Jr. with second-round pick James Bradberry in the vicinity. The second was to Damiere Byrd, who beat third-round pick Daryl Worley for the perfectly-thrown ball.
