CHARLOTTE – Cam Newton, a staple on the NFL Network's annual "Top 100 Players" list, has landed at No. 25 on this year's countdown.
Newton was first eligible for the list in 2012 and has now made it all seven times. Newton is one of five quarterbacks to make the list every year from 2012-17, along with Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger. All five have or are expected to make the list in 2018.
This past season, Newton became the winningest quarterback in Panthers history, helping Carolina finish 11-5 and qualify for the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.
