Cam Newton orchestrated a Carolina Panthers comeback against the defending Super Bowl champions last week and is being recognized for his efforts. Despite a slow start with only 68 passing yards through three quarters, Newton finished with a dynamic fourth quarter performance.
Passing for 201 yards and two touchdowns over the Panthers final three possessions, Newton led Carolina out of a 17-point hole and on to a four point victory. Three consecutive touchdowns and a superb defensive effort allowed Newton and the offense time to complete the comeback.
Named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, Newton finished with 269 yards passing and two touchdowns, completing 64-percent of his passes.
