The 2023 NFL coaching carousel has been spinning at a rather deliberate pace. Only five head coaching jobs opened -- half of last year's full complement of 10 moves -- with only the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans firing coaches following Week 18. (The Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos all began their regime changes while the 2022 season was ongoing). More than two weeks passed before any of the five jobs were filled, with Carolina naming former Colts coach Frank Reich to the post to eliminate the first vacancy on Jan.
