Ever since it was announced a week ago that Cam Newton has been permitted to seek a trade, some have speculated team might wait and see if the Carolina Panthers cut him instead. That notion seems to have come true. There doesn’t appear to be much interest in Newton and it might be for that reason. Why pay for something when you can wait and get it for free, right? It’s common sense. I was hoping that maybe one team would give up a pick for the former MVP and No. 1 overall pick.
But here’s the rub.
