CHARLOTTE – Running back Jonathan Stewart (ankle) and defensive end Jared Allen (foot) returned to practice in limited roles Thursday.
Head coach Ron Rivera expressed confidence in Stewart being ready to go for Sunday’s NFC Championship against the Cardinals. But there is still doubt concerning Allen, who fractured his right foot in the Divisional round.
"He moved around a little bit and did some things. He looked pretty good," Rivera said. "We’re waiting. We’ll see how things are tomorrow."
Rivera was pleased with his team’s practice performance during the two heavy work days on Wednesday and Thursday.
