While the Carolina Panthers brought in some good offensive weapons during free agency, it has left depth on the defensive side of the ball a real concern.
This is something general manager Marty Hurney is confident of adding to in this year’s NFL Draft. It would be a huge shock if the Panthers did not allocate at least five of their eight selections to defense and one of the areas of particular need is cornerback.
There are just four corners currently on the books in Carolina. Donte Jackson is the most experienced of these and this does not bode well for their chances in the pass-happy and formidable NFC South in 2020.
