The Carolina Panthers roster is filling out and with it, one area of need is becoming increasingly obvious – a better backup plan for quarterback Sam Darnold.
P.J. Walker and Will Grier currently sit second and third respectively on the Carolina Panthers depth chart. Neither player are capable of stepping in and starting if Sam Darnold is injured or struggles this season.
Walker is a good third option but not someone you want stepping in to stabilize what would be a rocky situation if Darnold were to miss a start or be benched this season.
