4 possible 2020 trade deadline regrets for the Carolina Panthers

Despite plenty of speculation to the contrary, the Carolina Panthers opted to stand firm and not make a move at the 2020 trade deadline. This wasn’t that much of a surprise given their 3-5 record, with 2021 NFL Draft capital becoming more valuable with every passing defeat.

With some stiff challenges on the schedule between now and the end of the campaign, the Carolina Panthers might just end up with a pick similar to the No. 7 selection they allocated on defensive tackle Derrick Brown in 2020. This wouldn’t necessarily put them in play for a top quarterback prospect such as Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields, it would give them another strong foundation from which to build another successful draft.
