Credit where it’s due, general manager Marty Hurney has hit the jackpot with his first-round selections over the years. However, the Carolina Panthers boast plenty of players further down the pecking order than just haven’t lived up to expectations.
Whether Hurney will be around when it’s time for the Carolina Panthers to select their next batch of college recruits remains to be seen. His contract is up for renewal following the season and owner David Tepper might decide that fresh ideas are needed to get the organization back into prominent playoff contention sooner rather than later.
