3 reasons Cam Newton will thrive on the New England Patriots

Cam Newton finally has a new home nearly three months after his release by the Carolina Panthers. According to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter, the quarterback has signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots to officially end his time on the free-agent scrapheap.

The 2015 NFL MVP could make up to $7.5 million if he reaches his incentives in New England. And it gives the former Carolina Panthers star a realistic chance of earning a starting job in week one.

As fortune would have it, the Panthers are scheduled to come up against New England in the preseason.
