The Carolina Panthers had a plan for their offense. They drafted Bryce Young, who was supposed to be a quick, sound, accurate decision maker to be their quarterback of the future. They didn’t have any star skill position players, so they stocked the cupboard with passable veteran talent. With an offensive line coming off a strong 2022 season, the pieces were supposed to come together to form a cohesive unit that was good enough to make the Panthers competitive. That never happened. Not even close.
The offensive line took a massive step back under the new coaching regime, Bryce Young did not look ready to shoulder the burden of an NFL franchise quarterback, and almost of the offseason acquisitions busted.
