2020 NFL Draft: The Carolina Panthers have received calls from teams about Curtis Samuel

The Carolina Panthers have received multiple calls from teams inquiring about the possibility of trading for wide receiver Curtis Samuel, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The Panthers selected Samuel with their second round pick (No. 40 overall) in the 2017 draft, and he has had mixed results during his time in Carolina. He has 108 receptions for 1,236 yards, 278 rushing yards and 14 total touchdowns with the Panthers, but he’s also battled injuries that have limited his playing time.

The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue clarifies that the Panthers are not the team initiating these conversations, but rather fielding calls from teams who may be interested in acquiring Samuel’s services.
