Draft week is finally upon us. We have all read an endless stream of mock drafts and player profiles to get our football fix since the Patriots lost the Super Bowl in February and we are once again on the verge of actual, concrete news about the Carolina Panthers. This news will be concrete so firm we can use it as the foundation of speculation and irresponsible prognostication until the cows come home (currently scheduled for August).
However, since we are all fans of the Panthers here we all know that the eventuality that precipitates from our months of half-baked dreams is never as good as we want it to be.
