Grades And Analysis Of The Entire Carolina Panthers 2015 NFL Draft

The 2015 NFL Draft has reached its conclusion, and it's time to look back on just what the Carolina Panthers did in Chicago and how it sets them up for the future. Here's our Grades And Analysis Of The Entire Carolina Panthers 2015 NFL Draft.

Picks:

(All player grades based on spot selected, need, etc.)

1st Round: Washington OLB Shaq Thompson [Grade: C-]

2nd Round: Michigan WR Devin Funchess [Grade: B-]

4th Round: Oklahoma OG Daryl Williams [Grade: B]

5th Round: Texas State LB David Mayo [Grade: B+]

5th Round: Auburn RB Cameron Artis-Payne [Grade: A-]

Overall Grade: C

We're heavily weighting this draft the wrong way for two reasons. Firstly, Shaq Thompson was one heck of a first-round reach that'll likely be a depth linebacker in dime packages for the rest of his career. Secondly, the Panthers tore their cupboard of picks apart so they had to hit and hit big for this to work out. They didn't aside from a potential late steal in Artis-Payne, and their grade suffers because of it.
