The Carolina Hurricanes had a huge chance to finally get something going in the Metropolitan Division to start working their way out of the basement. Carolina entered the Nov. 10 meeting with the Columbus Blue Jackets in last place in the Metro. Meanwhile, Columbus has struggled of late coming off a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators.
Columbus took the early 1-0 lead in the first period behind a Brandon Dubinsky goal. However, two straight goals from Jordan Staal put the Canes in great position in the middle of the third period. Both Cam Ward and Sergei Bobrovsky had solid outings.
