A week of three great promotions were just part of an over all successful week for the Fayetteville Marksmen. Even with their 8 game point streak snapped with a loss to Knoxville, the Marksmen bounced back with two wins over the Huntsville Havoc.
Wednesday was one of two School Days games that partnered the Marksmen with local schools to bring 7,559 students and teachers to Crown Coliseum for a special 10:00 am puck drop against the Knoxville Ice Bears. Fayetteville would fall behind 1-0 in the 1st period. Todd Goehring, who has since been called up to the Worcester Railers in the ECHL, scored his third goal of the season with help from Connor “Fries in the Summer, Fries in the Winter” Fries and Cam “Sure Can” Cook.
