According to reports, the Carolina Hurricanes have acquired defenseman Sami Vatanen from the New Jersey Devils just prior to Monday’s NHL trade deadline. A prospect and draft pick will be going to the Devils.
In a separate deal, the Hurricanes also acquired defenseman Brady Skjei from the New York Rangers for a first-round pick.
