Pekka Rinne, and the Nashville Predators, did not get off to the anticipated start in the first period, against the Carolina Hurricanes on Dec. 21. Bridgestone Arena was rocking, even as the Preds got off to a rough start at the very beginning of the game.
On the first three shots of the game, Rinne allowed three goals. It was the best start of the season for the Canes and the worst for Rinne. Coming off a game where he gave up five goals in a loss to the Winnipeg Jets, Rinne was hoping for a better performance on this night.
