TSN: Pierre LeBrun said that a source told him two weeks ago that news on a Travis Green contract extension would be sooner than later.
“What I can tell you right now is that there isn’t a new offer on the table. Green for sure wants to stay and the Canucks ownership absolutely wants him back, so it’s going to come down to how much money is involved. Green makes $1 million a year, which is among the lower third of NHL head coaches. I think something around $2.5 million would get it done but I don’t know.
