The Charlotte Checkers will be without their captain for the foreseeable future, as the Hurricanes announced that they have recalled forward Patrick Brown from their AHL affiliate.
The move comes as the Hurricanes prepare to embark on another road trip out West. With Lee Stempniak still on injured reserve and Janne Kuokkanen returned to Charlotte, it was expected that a move would be made to ensure that the team would have an extra forward available to them.
In 28 career NHL games, Brown has one goal and one assist for a total of two points.
