Getting a second straight victory for the Carolina Hurricanes helps the team gain some ground in both the Metropolitan Division and the Eastern Conference. Carolina took on the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 23, returning homme to PNC Arena in Raleigh.
Buffalo was coming off a victory over another Metro opponent in the Philadelphia Flyers. The Canes and Flyers are battling to stay out of last place in the division. Yet, the Canes got their win for the second game in a row, after defeating the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena.
Cam Ward got the nod for the Canes, for the second consecutive game.
