Hurricanes Sign Matt Tennyson To Two-Way Deal

The Carolina Hurricanes added more depth to their blueline with the signing of Matt Tennyson to a one-year, two-way deal. Tennyson is a right-hand shot who played 29 games for the Sharks last year.

The 6'2 defenseman will also give a bit more size to the blueline although he only had 23 hits in those 29 games last season. He chipped in with one goal and three assists.

RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Matt Tennyson on a one-year, two-way contract.
