The Carolina Hurricanes announced today that have recalled Danny Biega from the Charlotte Checkers to help fill the gap left by the injury of defenseman James Wisniewski.
Biega will be available for the Canes' home opener on Saturday night. He has 10 games of NHL experience from last year and totaled two assists.
The former third round draft pick played 69 games for Charlotte last season and notched two goals and 12 assists.
