Another Metro Division battle this evening at PNC Arena as the Carolina Hurricanes host the New York Islanders. The boys from the island are currently 4 points behind the Canes with the same amount of games played. These days, everyone is trying to keep pace with the New York Rangers as they have 33 points in 21 games to lead the division.
The two teams met earlier this month on the island where the Canes were victorious in overtime to pick up an important road win after losing to the Rangers two nights before.
The Islanders just had a 6 game point streak broken on Tuesday in New Jersey after suffering a loss to the Devils after a late goal given up in the third period.
